Portables began as a one-location family business in 1991.  Since then we have grown to an extended family with over 100 members in 20 mall locations in Northern Virginia and Maryland.  We are the largest authorized retailer for AT&T Mobility in the Washington/Baltimore market – and still growing!

The steady growth of Portables over the last 15 years has offered our employees great opportunity for career advancement within the company; some began as part-time sales reps and have advanced to area and district managers.   Our future growth plans will offer our current employees the same future career growth.  With locations from Fredericksburg, Virginia to Annapolis, Maryland and from Manassas Mall to Marley Station Mall, our reps know that they can grow along with Portables no matter where they call home.   Our sales reps are friendly, fun-loving, hard working, money-motivated, trustworthy, and reliable individuals who enjoy the challenge of the ever-changing wireless market.
